Pentax has announced new additions to both its E and P series of compact cameras, in the shape of the E80 and P80.

First up is the addition to the entry-level E series – the E80 boasts a 2.7in LCD screen, 3x optical zoom, 10MP sensor and HD video capture, all of which is powered by AA batteries.

Secondly, Pentax has added to its high-end compact category with the release of the P80. The 12MP compact features a 4x optical zoom, 2.7in LCD screen, full metallic casing and ultra slim body.

Both compacts are set to debut soon, with RRPs of £180 and £100 for the P80 and E80 respectively.
