Micro Four Thirds addition features full HD video capture

Panasonic Lumix GH1

Panasonic has announced the second camera in its new Micro Four Thirds range in the shape of the GH1.

The latest addition benefits from full HD video captures, as well as boasting a similar specification to the first Micro Four Thirds camera, the G1.

The GH1 offers HD video capture in either 1920x1080p resolution at 24fps (for highest resolution) or 1280x720p at 60fps (for smoother action capture.

The 12MP model is to launch with a specifically developed 14-140mm f/4-5.6 lens, designed for video with super smooth and quiet focus and aperture motors and insulated body to avoid motor noise being picked up by the mic.

Panasonic has also chosen the stage of PMA to announce a new Micro Four Thirds 7-14mm f/4 lens, with the promise of an imminent launch of both a 45mm macro and 20mm f/1.7 pancake lens
