HP has unveiled a host of new products, including nine digital compacts and two Photosmart printers. The range – designed to help people ‘make the most of summer memories’ – features the eight-megapixel R937 compact, with its 3.6in LCD screen making it the largest currently available on a digital compact. With Windows Vista compatibility and a range of in-camera editing facilities also present, the camera looks set to make a splash on the digital market. Another eight-megapixel camera adds to the range, in the form of the Mz67. Its 2.5in LCD screen is complimented by a 6x optical zoom and joins the R937 in heading the line-up. Seven other cameras, including the five-megapixel E337, will support the range, coming in a variety of different colours. Set for a July release, the E337 be the first of the range on the market with the remaining eight cameras set to be released in August. Two single-function Photosmart printers – the D7260 and D7460 – will also hit the shelves. Using Hp’s Viviera inks, the printers produce six colour prints in as little as 10 seconds. Both will be equipped with 3.5in LCD touch-screens and Ethernet compatibility, with the D7460 also supporting wireless connectivity. In addition, the C5280 all-in-one printer has also been announced, which, using HP’s new high-capacity inkjet cartridges, promises affordable printing with fewer cartridge changes and the added benefit of being able to print directly onto CD’s and DVD’s.
