Dixons expands into online printing

High street electronics retailer Dixons is to launch an online photo printing service, in conjuction with myPIX.com. Images can be uploaded to the website, where they are processed and delivered within 48 hours. As an introductory offer, the first 60 prints ordered will be supplied free, and a prepaid option offers additional prints from just 3p each. With the service also offering personalised gifts – from mugs and teddy bears to canvas prints – the venture is set to rival established online printing sites such as Photobox.co.uk, who have made their name from cheap photo printing costs and rapid service.
