Epson's new budget A4 printer

Epson has announced the D92, a new entry level A4 inkjet printer with a £39.99 retail price tag. The D92 features Epson’s DURABrite Ultra Ink system, which uses pigment-based ink technology that encapsulates each pigment particle in a protective resin coating, offering the quality and longevity benefits of pigment ink with the glossier finish usually more associated with dyes. The D92 also offers four individual ink cartridges (at a replacement cost of £6.99 each) and boasts an optimised resolution of 5760dpi, borderless printing, and speeds of 25ppm (b&w) and 13ppm in colour. The box also includes a trio of software packages including Epson Creativity Suite, Epson Easy Photo Print and Epson PhotoEnhance. It will be available next month.
