Sony waves a big Stick at the competition

Meeting the demands of today’s D-SLR users, electronics giant Sony has announced a 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo card, double the previous count and the largest capacity in the standalone format to date. Suitable for storing 19 hours of MPEG-4 video, or 3,000 photographs at 10 megapixel resolution (handy for Sony Alpha converts, or proud owners of the latest generation Cyber-shots), the latest 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo card is offered with free file rescue software, which can be downloaded via www.sonydigital-link.com/memstick/ Availability of the 8GB card is from February 7th.
