Pentax has introduced the new Optio E20, expanding Pentax's portfolio of entry-level compacts. Featuring 6-megapixels, it is designed for straight-forward operation and comes complete with a mode dial, 2.4inch LCD and compatibility with AA batteries.
The Optio E20 offers a 3x optical zoom lens equivalent to 34-102mm in 35mm format. When the optical zoom is paired with the digital zoom function (1X to approx. 4X), the camera can attain up to approximately 12X effective zoom magnification. Macro shooting is also possible from 6cm distance.
The camera will be available from October, with a retail price of £119.19.
