Fujifilm launches Blu-Ray media

Fujifilm's next generation Blu-Ray DVD media is to hit stores later this month. Fujifilm quoted an increase in data volumes on personal computers, the introduction of Blu-ray based computing products and a high demand for high definition (HD) technology as the reason behind its latest launch. Fujifilm Blu-ray discs will be released with 25GB storage capacity in write-once and re-writable formats and will be compatible with Blu-ray drives with 1-2X write speeds.
