Learn about photographic lighting techniques with the help of a new DVD. Aimed at enthusiast and business photographers, ‘The Beginner’s Guide to Light’ is split into chapters relating to studio portrait set-ups. Graphics are used to demonstrate the position of lights, to help beginners get the best from their equipment. Chris Burfoot, Associate Member of the Master Photographers Association, presents the DVD, which is sponsored by Elinchrom. Burfoot runs a series of regular courses in lighting. He comments: ‘The DVD aims to make the mystery of lighting a photograph well easily understood by all. Our simple goal is to share all the rules of professional lighting to provide the maximum creative freedom.’ The Beginner’s Guide to Light retails for £20.
