Nikon has confirmed that some units of the D200 may produce images containing vertical lines.
On the European Support Centre section of its website Nikon confirms vertical lines may become noticeable when pictures taken using the D200 are enlarged more than 100%. The lines occur in situations of extreme contrast, but not at ISO 100 and Nikon states that the pattern is ?almost undetectable? in prints A3 sized or larger.
Nikon says only a limited number of units produced early on in the production run may experience the problem. Anyone who does is advised to contact their nearest customer service representative, to have the output level of the camera adjusted.
