Lensbabies has introduced a macro kit consisting of two macro lenses, compatible with its Lensbaby macro lenses.
The Original Lensbaby and Lensbaby 2.0, can be used with Digital SLR cameras. It enables the photographer to focus sharply on one spot, the position of which can be adjusted using flexible lens tubing, while the remaining area has a graduated blur effect.
Supplied with the kit are +4 and +10 macro lenses that fit onto the front of the Original Lensbaby and Lensbaby 2.0 using 37mm threads.
The Lensbabies? closest focusing distance without the macro lens is 40cm. The +4 macro lens provides a minimum focusing distance of 15-33cm and the +10 lens changes the focusing distance to between 9-13cm. When used together the minimum focusing distance changes from 5-8cm.
