Children’s charity Barnardo’s has launched its 2006 calendar, which is comprised of pictures from its national photographic competition.
Budding photographers from all over the UK submitted entries based on the theme ‘The Face of Multicultural Britain Today’. Judges including Meera Syal and Floella Benjamin then selected winners in three age groups: 10-15 years old, 16-25 years old and 25 plus.
Errol John from Barnardo’s comments: ‘It received a fantastic response with entries coming in from North London, Kent and even as far as Leeds and Liverpool.’
Retailing for £3.99, the calendar will be launched at the National Mela lifestyle exhibition at the NEC Birmingham from 18th-20th November and will be available online and in Barnardo’s stores. Find out more at www.barnardos.org.uk/shop.
