Sanyo has introduced the first compact in its ‘E’ range, with a 6MP sensor and the world’s first ‘touch sensor shutter button’. With dimensions of 97.7x59.5x22.8mm, this lightweight camera features a 3x optical Konica Minolta inner optical zoom lens and a 3-inch Polysilicon Liquid Crystal Display LCD claiming excellent colour reproduction. Fast shooting is promised from the touch sensor shutter, which activates the auto focus the moment a finger touches the button, without needing to be depressed halfway to attain focus lock. The Sanyo E6 uses interpolation to produce 10MP images and can capture 640x480 VGA movies at a rate of 30fps, while Super Macro mode can focus as close as 1cm from the subject. Incorporating a 9-point Auto-Focus system, the E6’s exposure modes include Best shot, (which captures four photographs at different exposures enabling you to choose the most suitable) and landscape, ID and composite modes. Other features include a Visual Scheduler (calendar,) and a Guidance display showing shooting information. You can also quickly check the focus of your shots with the Zoom, jump, view tool. For a limited time the E6 is supplied with a 512MB SecureDigital cards and Lowepro case. For more information log onto www.sanyo.co.uk or call 01923 246363.
