The European Standardization organisation is holding a photographic contest with a top prize of 2000 euros. Open to experienced photographers, the theme is ‘standards for future generations,’ encompassing subjects including IT, communication, eco-design and environmental management. Organised by CEN and CENLEC, the competition marks the 20th year that the European Commission has been mandating the European Standardization Organizations in a bid to develop European standards. From all submissions, 28 images will go through to a final where the winning image will be selected by a jury. As well as 2000 euros the winner will be invited to Brussels on the 29th November for the opening ceremony and launch of the photographic exhibition, which will then visit 28 countries. The closing date is 30th September. For a full list of rules, log onto www.cenorm.be
