Sigma has announced a new 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG macro lens, optimised for use with digital photography.
Offering a magnification of 10.7x and with the ability to focus as close as 50cm, it is described as an ?all-purpose lens? useful for wideangle, standard and telephoto photography.
Constructed from 15 elements in 13 groups, it includes two Special Low Dispersion elements and four Aspherical elements to help rectify aberration. The lens has a multi-layer coating, which is designed to reduce ghosting and flare.
Incorporating an inner focusing system, so the front of the lens doesn?t rotate, the zoom can be secured using a zoom lock switch.
Compatible with Sigma, Nikon-D and Canon fittings, the 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG macro lens will retail at £229.99. Find out more information at www.sigma-imaging-uk.com or by calling 01707 329999.
