The StoreGuard USB Fingerprint pen drive from Card Media enables users to protect files and photographs by using a fingerprint recognition control. Available in capacities ranging from 256Mb to 1Gb, the device slots into the USB point of a personal computer, and a program then automatically runs asking for your fingerprint. Offering high-speed USB 2.0 transfer rates, the StoreGuard is compatible with Windows ME, 2000 and XP, although Windows 98 does require a driver. StoreGuard has a steel casing and is supplied with a USB extension cable. Prices start at £49 for a capacity of 256Mb, £65 for 512Mb and £89 for the 1Gb device.
