Canon is expanding its LiDE range of scanners with two new models, the LiDE 60 and LiDE 25. Offering a resolution of 1200 x 2400dpi and powered from a USB cable, both scanners are easy to use thanks to a selection of EZ buttons located on the front that can be customised enabling one-touch scanning. Documents can also be scanned straight to PDF, without the need for additional software. Retailing at 59 the Canon LiDE 60 is 40mm thick and includes a USB 2.0 connection. It features Easy Colour Matching Print to help produce accurate colours. Priced at 49 the LiDE 25 is 34mm thick and offers standard USB transfer speed. Caere OmniPage SE and ArcSoft PhotoStudio software are bundled with both scanners, while QARE Level 3 is incorporated into the driver software to eliminate dust and scratches. Both scanners will hit the shops in July. For more details go to www.canon.co.uk or by calling 08705 143 723.
