DxO Optics Pro v3.0 is the latest edition of the image-enhancement software for digital SLRs, now offering support for the Nikon D70s and D2X. Compatible with both PCs and Macs, DxO Optics Pro v3.0 can be used for making corrections to the exposure, reducing the effect of image noise and rectifying lens problems in photographs taken by digital SLRs. Photographers have full control over the RAW conversion process thanks to the redesigned DxO RAW Engine. Incorporated into the program are two new technologies; the DxO Noise Engine designed to reduce the effect of noise by two f/stops and the DxO Lighting Engine; for improving highlight and shadow detail. The DxO Optics Engine works with the DxO Lens module to rectify lens problems like vignetting and softness. DxO Optics Pro v3.0 is available from www.dxo.com for around £86.87 and the Elite version costs around £136. A free upgrade is available to anyone who bought DxO Optics Pro 2.2 after 20th April 2005; all other users have to pay £26.77 for the upgrade.
