Nigel Atherton Editor Nigel studied photography at Plymouth College of Art & Design and the University of Westminster and worked as a professional photographer for over 10 years before joining Amateur Photographer magazine in 1994. He has been a photography journalist ever since, and was appointed editor of What Digital Camera in 2002. He has also written and edited several books on photography. Phil Hall Deputy Editor Phil graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a Photography BA (Hons) and since then his work has been used by major brands such as Vodafone and Marks & Spencer; featured in a variety of publications, from CAR to Trail; as well as national newspapers. Mike Lowe Technical Editor Mike became a technology journalist
after graduating from Southampton with a Photography BA (Hons). He's written for numerous photographic and technology titles and websites, overseen websites and worked in photographic and retouching studios. Mike
looks after WDC's busy reviews section, and when he's not testing the
latest cameras he can usually be found lurking on the What Digital Camera site... |

Matt Tuffin Digital Production Editor Matt has been
working on photographic titles for the last ten years, and had his
images and words printed in numerous national and international
publications. With qualifications in photography and filmmaking Matt has
assisted in producing a number of multimedia projects, including music
videos and short films. Alongside his abilities with the still image
Matt is also capable with a camcorder, overseeing the video output for
WDC online and interactive editions. |

Paul Nuttall News and Features Paul manages WDC's Features and Techniques sections as well as being the first port of call for readers' contributions to the magazine. Taking regular advantage of the WDC stock cupboard, Paul frustrates his girlfriend by spending most weekends out and about photographing pretty much everything. Steve Crabb Art Editor Steve has worked in photography and design for over 20 years. He left Bournemouth and Poole College of Art in 1987 with a diploma in Photography and Design and worked as a photographic assistant and colour printer, before joining ITV as an assistant film editor and cameraman - working on productions such as ITN news and the Ruth Rendell Mysteries. In 1998 he switched careers to become a magazine designer, and joined What Digital Camera in 2002 as Art Editor. |

Jacky Porter Production Editor A keen amateur photographer, Jacky has been a Production Editor and Chief Sub-Editor for more than six years on various magazines, including OK! magazine and Amateur Photographer. She's the 'Chief Whip' on the staff, responsible for making sure the writers all keep to our deadlines (well, she tries!) editing the text, and getting the magazine to the printers on time, to as high a standard as possible. She loves photography and tries to get out to take pictures as much as she can. |

Philip Andrews Image Editing Contributor One of WDC's longest-standing contributors, Philip is a Senior Lecturer, Photography & Digital Imaging, and an Adobe Alpha tester. However, he is best known as one of the world's leading authorities on Adobe Photoshop Elements. He is also a best-selling author of 18 books on Elements and digital imaging. Matt Golowczynski Technical Contributor Matt studied photography and worked in photographic retail, before joining the WDC
team as Technnical Writer in 2007. Now at University improving his knowledge even further, he's our regular contributor to the Help section, answering myriad reader queries, as well as continuing with his Matt Explains column. Matt uses a variety of cameras,
both film and digital, and has a passion for black and white
architectural photography, townscapes and portraiture. |

Jon Tarrant Technical Contributor Former professional photographer and photography journalist, Jon has now put his physics degree to good use by becoming a physics teacher. He contributes technical features to WDC and is our primary lens tester, where his science background comes in very handy. He is the author of eight photography books on topics ranging from portraiture and lighting to Understanding Digital Cameras. |

Vincent Oliver Technical Contributor Vincent Oliver has been a professional photographer for over 30 years. A member of the Stone (Getty) picture library, for which he supplies original conceptual photography, he uses a variety of image-editing applications and has exhibited his work at art and photo galleries worldwide. In the past few years Vincent has been specialising in digital imaging and contributes technical articles and videos for WDC. He runs the popular www.photo-i.co.uk website and has also expanded into DVD video productions.
