I used to get one to work every day,when I worked in the city centre.A young lad used to get on to travel to a special needs school he would sing continuously till he reached his stop. Every one on the bus would be smiling, great start to the day.

I used ti teach special needs adults music. It was the most fulfilling job I ever had

Oh yes I remember when all buses were like this and you could travel for 11/2d, that's less than 1p today. See I haven't got dementia................ Thanks Mike

Strange the nostalgia we all have for these noble steeds, I can only remember 3d, and by the time I had reached college age it had risen to 9d, but a pint of best bitter was only 1/10p , 9p today. Could have a good time this easter at those prices, with today's wallet. Thanks Philb for your comment.
