This is quite a simple set-up Sean. Just a seed pinned in place on a piece of card, placed in a shaft of sunlight with the shaft made narrow by masking off with more card. Just needs a camera and lens that focusses close enough. I think converting to mono with a hint of a warm tint helps though.
