Re: Weathered groyne Thanks TK. A groyne is a structure designed to dampen the effect of the tide working along the shore, and helps to stop the removal of material from the beach. The work of this one is done all the planking is lost, only good for photographers now, I thought the remnants of different coloured nets worked well with the timber, the red pebbles used to be house bricks....Regards Mike.
Re: Weathered groyne Hi Mike ......The textures of the old timbers and the combination of colours work very well together here! Have you noticed how images appear lighter when uploaded to this site? ..........Very well done Mike! ........Regards .............Alf
Re: Weathered groyne Thank you for kind comments Alf, yes myself and others have mentioned in the past that uploads appear to change from originals. Though I did lift the shadows of this one to allow the hollowed out timber to show its depths and detail, I may have over cooked it....Regards Mike.
