Thanks Caroline, we had just returned from a walk in the woods ,where i had been trying to photograph Wood peckers, I still had the sigma 120-400 on my camera so attempted a shot in close up, the lens did wonderfully well so I posted it as a tribute to Sigma. She still has her winter coat so looks like a small golden bear...Mike. -

Hi Mike. Lovely image of your sleepy little girl, but what of the woodpeckers. I often hear them in my garden. but never see them. Slippery critters! -

WIP Woodpeckers, Yes Phil once the leaves are on the trees the chance has gone. Some times when the young are just fledged, they will come to the bird feeders so may get a chance then. Inbox filled with people saying nice things about my images this morning, and Amateur photographer printed one of my letters feels good to be noticed....Mike.
