..Hi Caroline, thank you for your comment. I am afraid that neither guess is correct.
I used to tie flies for fishing and this is a Goose Biot. I will let you Google the research!! Best wishes Paul -

Hi Paul, just been on Google!! how interesting! it makes an amazing image! I knew someone many years ago tied flies, the end result of some of her flies were amazing!..Caroline
