Masterful new take on the waterdrop genre. If you resize it to 800px on the longest size, it will look better in the gallery. What sort of lighting did you use for this? -

Re: Union Jack Water Drop
I doubt if this picture was not taken in photoshop. You can only see the half of the flag in the background so you could not see the whole union jack in the drop. -

Re: Union Jack Water Drop
hi all
thanks for the comments, I've kept the crop as square as possible because Ive printed a few out and it looks quite good in a large square frame.
I just used a 580ex with an off shoe camera cord just to the side of the drop pointing at the background, thats why it is slightly darker on the right of the picture
as for photoshopping....if you look at the flag in the water drop, you can see that the top half is slightly darker and slightly rippeld, thats because that half of the flag is its reflection in the water behind the drop.
I origionally put the flag with the bottom edge on the water and noticed i was getting a double image of it in the drop so I dropped it down to half way so that when the water was still the flag was half real and half refected
If you look at the other picture you'll see that all of the droplets on the splash have full union jacks in them as well even with the half flag in the background
I've altered the picture for prints but this is pretty much the raw image
