Totally rediculous colours and contrast over exaggerated.

    Hi, BernieT,
I understand that you are just a beginner, as your profile says. And as a beginner I suppose you are still a little unsure of what is what in the photography world. When you get a little more experience, get somebody to teach you all about the wonderful world of 'photo editing', 'photoshop', 'photomatix', 'and 'noiseware'.

When you have a little more experience behind you, maybe then you can produce an image, get just 10 printed, and sell 9 of them in just over a year and make 975 as I have done with this image alone.

Ah-ha! Now I see why you've come back to pop at me!

No mate, I'm certainly no beginner. 46 years experience to be correct, I just don't normally like to spout off about it but, I have won a few major competitions too. Just my first prize was worth more than you made with your nine sales in what; a year, you say?

I use photoshop almost every day but never need to go so over the top with colour saturation as you so obviously do and funnily enough, also use noiseware, an excellent little prog when absolutely necessary.

Come on mate, grow up. Really, if you can't take a bit of genuine constructive criticism without retaliation, you shouldn't be entering your stuff in these sort of competitions, which invite precisely this. Get your dressing gown and slippers on, a nice warm cup of horlicks and tuck up in front of the telly, far safer!

And finally (from me at least!) if you're so hot in photoshop, wouldn't this photograph been better off with the power lines cloned out? Or, do you genuinely 'prefer' them in, because they add that sense of 'realism' you so like?

Well I would have thought that you might have experience after 46 years. Squirrels, please come on, use a little imagination.

If you use PS everyday, I would love to know what you use it for, as it looks as if although I must say your images are sharp, there does not really seem to be that much imagination with your work.

Yes, I earned 975 from tat image alone, but then, I suppose that is the difference between amateur and a professional photographer.

    Anyway, Rant Over!
