I've just remembered that there is a fairly rare FD35 f2 original breechlock fitting with a concave front element, and which used slightly radioactive thorium glass. By now this will have decayed a bit, and the glass will have a yellowish tint. Probably OK for B&W but perhaps not what you want for colour slides.
Here's a reference to it. I remember buying one very many years ago for £99.
