    The thread title box suggests thread titles I've written on other forums, including the AP one whihc isn;t a vBullitin board.

    Mine does not - perhaps you have some additional privileges

    Edit: Theabove test was made using Firefox, but I have just tried using IE8 and that works as you describe so its presumably a function of the browser

    One believes it has something to do with your IE (or FF) settings - AutoFill or sommat like that.

    Exactly, a lot of common form fields have common tags/parameters/variable names, like email, login name, username, password, etc.

    Clearing histories should stop it if it's of concern - either through the apps 'Options' or by using something like cCleaner.

    (If you go down the c(rap)Cleaner route be careful, it can remove a lot more than you might have planned.)
