Pentax K-x & lens compatibility old K fit?????
Hi, as a " newby " getting back into photography after a few years away (only a novice), I am after advice with some old kit I have.
I have just ordered a Pentax K-x and need help in using some older lenses I have (from back in the 80's for my Canon) with my new camera - if possible.
The lenses are:
Vivitar 75-205mm 1:3.8 (58mm) close focusing auto zoom
Canon 50mm 1:1.8
Makinon 28mm 1:2.8 52mm auto
Can anyone tell me anything about these lenses; how good, how/when/where to use, etc?
Also what the compatibility status is with my new K-x?
Thanx

Pentax KX - use of old lenses
Have you read the instruction book?
I have used a thirty year-old 50mm F1.7 Pentax K mount lens on my K10, following the notes in the instruction book. Manual Focus, manual aperture setting, manual exposure (as I always prefer). As long as you don't expect the 'point and shoot' functionality of a camera designed for people who can't be bothered to find out how to use the camera.
Your Canon lens will not have a Pentax K mount (of course), and I assume the others will have fixed mounts for a specific make of camera
