    Default high res

hi there, I have at present a nikon d80, good peice of kit but only 10mp. Am looking at the d 3200 because of high res for price, but am put off by comments that it is a starter dslr. I take mainly landscape pictures and need them to blow up to around 30x20ins.any advice appreciated.

Hi welcome to the forum. Can I ask what lenses you have for your D80?

Today's starter camera was yesterday's dream camera, the way things have developed over the last decade.
Don't get hung up by labels. Is it likely to keep you happy for a few years? That is the question.

I'm in Huw's boat here. I know a lot of seasoned photographers who use entry level cameras. They all say it's for the size and they are a lot lighter, but all are capable of taking great photos. Only thing is, I don't think your 18- 80 lens will auto focus on a d3200, it will do everything else though... Graham

a lot depends on what you shoot the 3200 maybe just what you want or may be its time to go up a level
