Default Worth 'upgrading' ? Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM to Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC

    Hi all,
I am new to the site - wicked source of information and opinions

One question I have been asking myself is that I have a Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM superzoom I have used as a travel lens. I am NOT unhappy with it. But here's the thing; I am about to take a Tamron 70-300 VC Di which I really love using. If I have this i don't need the reach of the superzoom. Therefore would I gain anything if I went to a Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC HSM as regard IQ or faster glass that makes it worth the change ?

I like the super-zoom but having the 17-70 and 70-300 gives me the reach I need with what I perceive to be better quality optics.

Anyone used the 18-250 vs the 17-70 ? is it worth considering ?

    Thanks for reading this

    Dave
