Default New to photography and buying 1st DSLR

    Hey all

I understand posts like this are probably very generic. But I hope mine is slightly different.

Basically, I've done some research and decided on either buying the Nikon D3200, D5100 or D700...

Now I understand it should end there, the D7000 is of course a better body..

However!! I only have enough cash to either get the D3200/5100 and a half decent lens, or a D7000 and a very cheap lens kit for now.

What is the better option to do? Opt for a lower body to allow a better lens, or opt for the better body and have to settle for a basic entry level lens?

    Many thanks.

Hi and welcome first thing i would ask is have you tried any of theses cameras if not thats the next thing to do, i would also ask have you considered any other makes. remember when you buy a DSLR you buy into a system so make sure that system suits your needs
