Thread: Which to buy

    Default Which to buy

I'm intending to upgrade my camera equipment in the new year. I have in the past used Pentax,Canon,Minolta and Leica cameras. My choice has been narrowed down to the Nikon 800/800e or Sony alpha 99. Which of these would you recommend considering my areas of photography are Landscapes/Portrait/Still Life and Macro.

    Nikon 800/800e
The D800 and D800E's 36.3MP CMOS sensor has by far the greatest pixel count of any non medium-format DSLR currently on the market.

Wave, Many thanks for your reply, i will take your advice and try them. Unfortunately having used and owned the Canon d20, i did not feel it was right for me and sold it on,this is the reason i only mentioned Nikon and Sony the latter being a Minolta (i believe)system, which in the past i have used and liked mainly because of the lens quality.
