If I had to stick to one it would be the Lake district, just been there and it rained first time ever, but you can still get pictures, not good in high season if you want people free views.
I have to agree with Mike, the Lake District tales some beating and for me "Buttermere" is just a dream of a place. Crack of dawn which means 4.00 am this time of year essential for "people free views"
