Default Using Old Canon lenses from my EOS film camera with a digital EOS 400D

Hi, should I be able to get good sharp images when using my old canon lenses from my EOS film camera with my 'new' (second hand) EOS 400D? I have been unhappy with the results so far.

The lenses are an EF 28-80 and an EF 75 - 300.

    Thanks

    Liz

Sorry I'm not going to be much help to you.I use old Nikon lenses on my Nikons and find the quality to be really good, some of them won't meter or auto focus. I would think old Canon lenses would be just as good... Graham

I recently found an old 28-105mm f2.8-4 on fleabay. By Sigma when it came out many thought it a little soft at F2.8, but it works great on my modern Nikon digitals, and can be easily sharpened in NX2. There are still some old lenses out there that will perform well.
