The organisers have asked us to remind our readers that the deadline for the fourth International Garden Photographer of the Year competition is fast approaching...

The International Garden Photographer of the Year is one of the most prestigious competitions in the photographic calendar. If you like photographing gardens and you fancy £5000, you’ll be glad we told you that the deadline for entries for IGPOTY 4 is 30th November 2010, which gives you precisely one month to get those wellies on and hunt down that perfect plant specimen.

Details of how and where to enter are in the press release below. Good luck!

The deadline for the fourth International Garden Photographer of the Year competition is fast approaching. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this prestigious competition.

Deadline – 30 November 2010

This year we have an outstanding range of awards on offer, including a top cash prize of £5000 for the overall winner plus a Royal Photographic Society gold medal for the Portfolio winner.

Whether you win or not, IGPOTY has something to offer everyone. Uniquely among photography competitions, we offer every photographer who enters the chance to receive a personal email critique of their entry from the judges (once the winners are announced) as well as an invitation to an Entrants’ Day in 2011 at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

There are six categories, with awards for single images as well as portfolios. There is a special award for the image that best portrays the ‘Spirit of the American Garden’.
