    Do you need a top of the range camera to achive stunning shots.

    no is the quick answer. what you need is to take your time set up your shot use the right exposure and dof. then post process it.

    why do you ask and what do you think is wrong with the pictures you take

    I would say no you don't need a top of the range camera
