    Default My needs in a new camera

    I have recently needed to start taking photos of some projects at work. These photos are often in low light situation like inside control cabinets. They are often close ups of wiring and Data plates of motors and such. The camera needs to fit in a pocket or tool bag. A point and shoot size would be best. Any suggestions

    Hi and welcome.

    For low light shots you may need a bigger sensor than the normal point and shoot. Have a look at the Olympus E-PL1 It can be used in Auto mode until you get used to it. A small LED light that can be worn round the head would help a lot

    And don't forget. Post processing is an important part of photography and should be used to sharpen and enhance pictures taken with your camera. If you don't have an imaging editor, then use the one in my signature below. There are to get you started. The most useful is the and for even more adjustment.
