So With the fireworks last night I thought it would be a good time to get the new Sony nex-5n out and see what sort of images I could get of the moon and stars. Unfortunately due to a lack of zoom I was unable to get a close up of the moon and stars only came outa small dots.

Does anyone do night time shooting or can they recommend a lenses which would help. My brother in law has a very impressive canon with I think a 35x zoom.

Any advise / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
