I'm looking for suggestions on the purchase of a camera, to be used to photograph objects indoors.

It needs to be used tethered, either via USB or Firewir (Or something else). It must have an external power connector as it may be in continuous use.

The only real proviso spec wise is that it needs to be able to take reasonable shots at close distance whilst indoors. Oh, and it needs to be cheap, ideally 'bridge' style.

Have looked at various Nikon bridge cameras but the software is expensive and I can't work out if they have external power connectors.

I'm tending towards one of the Canon models as the software is apparently free, but once again I can't find out which ones have external power and which ones don't.

Any brands or models will be considered though, so long as they generally conform to the above and are tetherable to a windows PC.
