Worldu2019s highest paper planes used to test cardu2019s endurance

Samsung has launched 100 of its latest memory cards in to space, and then have them sail back to earth on paper planes, as a way of proving their endurance.

‘Project Space Planes’ will see the cards, loaded with personal messages random selected from those submitted by members of the public, lifted to some 125,000 feet before being sent back down to earth on paper planes.

During their journey back down to earth, the cards will ensure winds of up to 200mph, temperatures as low as -40c and as high as 85c. The planes have been launched from a location near Wolfsburg in Germany, and shall land across Europe.

Anyone finding a plane with memory card attached should visit the ‘Project Space Planes’ website to become part of the project, and for more information visit the website.
