Question Baby/Toddler friendly Compact Camera advice please!!

    Hi!

I'm new to these pages so please accept my apologies if this has been previously asked!

I'm looking for a new compact camera with decent zoom, which will give me gorgeous, detailled pictures of my little boy and his soon to arrive sibling. I'd love to be able to take close up images that blow up onto wall sized canvas well.

We currently have a Canon Ixus 70 (5 years old) and i've noticed that when developing images they seem rather soft and not very well defined.

I'm looking at around the £200ish mark and for a camera which offers excellent "point n click" for an average Joe like myself!!

Any help/advice would be great! Thanks x

    Hi and welcome.

Before you buy a new camera. Have you tried to enhance your images in an image manipulation program?

Here's my usual blurb. Try it and see how to improve your images!

Post processing is an important part of photography and should be used to sharpen and enhance pictures taken with your camera. If you don't have an imaging editor, then use the one in my signature below. There are http://ictpublish.com/pixlr/ to get you started. The most useful is the http://ictpublish.com/pixlr/Videoes/...06_Levels.html and for even more adjustment. The http://ictpublish.com/pixlr/Videoes/...07_Curves.html is a must (it's my favourite all-in-one adjuster). My Resize-Crop-Sharpen tutorial below, will get your pics ready for the internet or whatever

    Cheers!
