    Hi,

    I got Nikon P100 and using for last one year, I am happy with the picture quality as I use for family and holiday.

    I have problem with Video shoot, when I shoot in HD Video mode and review on cam it play well but when I transfer and play the same on my laptop or TV the video has kind of jerk/skip the movements or it not the smooth recording.

    Hope you do my problem.

    this could be down to the graphics card that you use.

    Hi

    Also, what class of memory card are you using in your Nikon P100?

    I get some jerking on my Panasonic, especially when panning. Even on my dedicated camcorder I still get some jerking

    You mean a card class with matter for video quality and change of will help to overcome the jerks and video track skips.....right..

    The P100 uses H.264/MPEG-4 Part 10 or AVC (Advanced Video Coding) standard for video compression.

    A faster SDHC card (class 10), can only help if the camera can write video fast enough.

    You also need a fast computer to play it back on. It would jerk on a 1.6Mhz processor on a netbook for example.

    So, it's a suck it and see situation.

    It will only cost you under 10 to find out and you still have a spare card at the end of it.
