Default Compact with time lapse mode

I'm looking for a compact digital camera that has a time lapse mode, at least 10x zoom, and the ability to manually set exposure time. Budget is about 250. Is there any such camera that meets these requirements?

    Hi and yes!

    Ricoh have what you want

    Previous model may be cheaper

And don't forget. Post processing is an important part of photography and should be used to sharpen and enhance pictures taken with your camera. If you don't have an imaging editor, then use the one in my signature below. There are to get you started. The most useful is the and for even more adjustment. The is a must (it's my favourite all-in-one adjuster). My Resize-Crop-Sharpen tutorial below, will get your pics ready for the internet or whatever

Do you know the maximum exposure time that can be set? I'm interested in taking shots of starry skies on holiday when at least a few seconds exposure would be needed. Or would I be better off buying a DSLR, and if so any recommendations? I could probably up the budget to around 300.

It is under Specification in the review I posted Look for Shutter speed. You may find that it might have a scene mode that will allow longer - search for a manual in Google.

I don't know of any cheap DSLRs with Time lapse that you asked for.
