Which 70-200mm?
Hey guys,
I'm looking at buying a high end 70-200mm Canon fit lens, my budget is around £900 £1000 at an absolute push. Im lining up the Canon L 70-200mm NON IS f/2.8 at £929.
but ive seen a few second hand MK 1 f/2.8 WITH IS for around £1000. As its not the latest model would it still be worth it?
Or is it worth going for the second hand MK 2 and saving for a while?
Plus im currently shooting on a 500D
Or any other advice would be great!
Thanks Ed

i have just bought a 70-200is l/f4 and with a similar budget. i looked at the sigma 70-200is f2.8 also the non IS versions of both canon and sigma. i went to try them and all though there sigma IS version was a very good lens it was also very heavy so i settled for the f4 IS from canon and all i can say is i am very pleased with it.
my view is if i am spending this sort of money then i want some sort of warranty with the item. good luck
