Successor to GR DIGITAL III launched with enhanced Quick Shooting capability

Ricoh has announced the latest model in its GR DIGITAL series in the form of the GR DIGITAL IV.

The GR DIGITAL IV retains many of the features of its predecessor, including a fixed focal length 28mm lens with a maximum aperture of f/1.9, as well as a 10MP CCD sensor.

Amongst the improvements with the Ricoh GR DIGITAL IV are a new imaging engine and a ‘refined optical filter’, according to the manufacturer.

The new GR ENGINE IV helps facilitate the advancement of the model’s Quick Shooting capabilities. Other improvements include a new Hybrid AF system and sensor-shift Image Stabilization function for both faster and more steady capture. A 3in VGA LCD screen is house on the rear of the camera and offers a resolution of 1.23 million dots. An electronic level now features for level shots. Dynamic Range Compensation now also features for accurate capture in difficult lighting condition.
