Compact with Wi-Fi functionality

Panasonic has continued a busy day of launches with the announcement of the DMC-FX90. The new compact is the latest addition to the FX series boasts a strong specification and WiFi connectivity.

The Lumix FX90 features a 12.1MP CCD sensor offering HD video capture at 1080p resolution. The sensor is paired with a LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMARIT lens which covers a focal range of 24-120mm in 35mm equivalent terms and maximum aperture of f/2.5. The sensor is accompanied by the Venus Engine LSI for improved ISO performance.

The headline feature of the new DMC-FX90 is its WI-Fi functionality – the compact features Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) which will allow users to upload images straight to services such as Facebook, Flickr, Picasa or YouTube from the camera. Panasonic has also launched a new ‘LUMIX CLUB’ service for users of the DMC-FX90 to allow easy upload to all the of aforementioned sharing sites.
