Default Camera for Motorsports esp F1

Hi there very new here and looking for advice.

I have been a Motorsport fan for many years and this year i will be attending the British F1 GP the last 2 years we have been to silverstone to the Renault world series but this is my first F1 GP and i would like to get a better camera but my budget is only 150 and that is the top end i have been looking at bridge cameras and am trying to decide between the Nikon L120 and the Fujifilm Finepix S4000HD and advice would be welcome. I know bridge cameras are not know for action shots and a DSLR would be better but i cannot afford that atm so would just like some advice on a good bridge camera for under $150. Thank you in advance.

Hi, the Fuji has an EVF (Electronic viewfinder). The Nikon does not.- only an LCD to view, so you cannot hold it up to your eye.

You will need good light for it to work best though. Also, practice your http://www.digital-photography-schoo...oving-subjects so that you create a blurred background which will give a sense of motion

Remember that taking the picture is only half the job. The other half is bringing it to life. If you don't have an imaging editor, take a look at the one in my signature. The most useful tutorial is the http://ictpublish.com/pixlr/Videoes/...06_Levels.html and the Resize-Crop-Sharpen tutorial below, that shows you how to adjust images before posting on the web.

There are also lots of photo tutorials in my sticky on the AP sister site to help with your photography http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk...-Free-programs look down the bottom of the page.

    Cheers!

Hi, I think I would try and go for the Canon 550D which has dropped in price. Have a look at the comparison here http://www.dpreview.com/products/com...canon_eos1100d and read the reviews on both.

I would want the hi-res LCD at 1,040,000 dots phew!!!! Larger screen, Spot metering and 18.0 megapixels sensor, so I could have more crop room for those long shots...

My experience with canon SLR cameras ended with the http://www.sweeting.org/mark/eos-5.php with Eye Controlled Focus!!!! Wow - I would have slept with it, had the wife let me lol - changed to digital compacts due to my health and unable to carry all my lenses etc...

Don't forget, post processing is an important part of photography and should be used to sharpen and enhance pictures taken with any camera. If you don't have an imaging editor, then use the one in my signature below. There are 32 video tutorials to get you started. The most useful is the http://ictpublish.com/pixlr/Videoes/...06_Levels.html and for the advanced user. The http://ictpublish.com/pixlr/Videoes/...07_Curves.html is a must - it's my favourite all-in-one adjuster

    Cheers

I would say the 550d is a better bet for motor sport you just have to decide on a lens
