Four new 16MP beginner compacts from Casio

Casio has launched a foursome of new compacts, each with a 16MP sensor. The Exilim EX-ZS150, EX-ZS20, EX-ZS12 and EX-ZS6 all share some similar features and are aimed at the beginner end of the market, mixing powerful features with a low price point.

The EX-ZS150 is the top model of the bunch, offering a 24mm wideangle lens and a 12.4x optical zoom. The Premium Auto mode, which detects the scene and adjusts the camera accordingly, is also present. The XS20 has a slightly less-wide 26mm lens, with a 6x optical zoom, but is otherwise very similar in terms of feature set.

At the lower end of proceedings are the ZS12 and ZS6, that both also have a 26mm wideangle lens but over a 5x zoom range. The ZS12 has a slightly slimmer body, but otherwise the two cameras are identical.

All four models offer a 720p HD movie mode, 2.7inch LCD and USB charging.
