DSLR within £250 budget

Hello,

My dad wants a new camera for his xmas/birthday. A Fuji film HS10 finepix took his eye whilst at a rugby match and was wondering if this is the best one to get within this budget or if not, can anyone recommend an alternative?

You could take a look at the fuju HS20, it's a newer model to the HS10 and still is within your budge aroung £235 in Amazont. Hope this helps ... graham

Yep, the HS20 is definitely worth a look if you want the incredibly long reach that the zoom offers. It's worth noting though that the HS20 is not a DSLR - it's an all-in-one compact camera with a DSLR look and feel. DSLRs offers much large sensors, so the image quality is superior, while an optical viewfinder and interchangeable lenses are also another major benefit.

If you want to get your Dad a DSLR for your budget, there are some great second hand buys out there that'll tick the boxes.
